विश्वामित्रस्य तपोविघ्नः, मेनकाप्रसङ्गः, महर्षिपदप्रदानम्
Visvamitra’s Austerity Obstructed; Menaka Episode; Conferment of Maharshi Status
तमुवाच ततो ब्रह्मा न तावत् त्त्वं जितेन्द्रिय:।यतस्व मुनिशार्दूल इत्युक्त्वा त्रिदिवं गत:।।।।
tam uvāca tato brahmā na tāvat tvaṃ jitendriyaḥ | yatasva muniśārdūla ity uktvā tridivaṃ gataḥ ||
तब ब्रह्मा ने उससे कहा—“अभी तुमने इन्द्रियों को नहीं जीता है। हे मुनिशार्दूल, निरन्तर प्रयत्न करो।” यह कहकर वे त्रिदिव को चले गए॥
Then Brahma said to him, 'You have not conquered the senses yet. O Tiger amongascetics, strive still.' Having said this he went toward heaven.
