King Kusanabha, having seen his daughters released from disfigurement caused by the Wind-god was immensely pleased. He experienced waves of delight.
A guardian’s dharma is fulfilled when dependents are protected and restored; the king’s joy reflects relief at the re-establishment of moral order.
After the marriage event and the daughters’ cure, Kūśanābha witnesses their restoration.
Parental responsibility and compassionate concern—his happiness arises from his daughters’ well-being.
