तृतीयः सर्गः (Bālakāṇḍa 3): Vālmīki’s Yogic Verification and the Epic Synopsis
श्रुत्वा वस्तु समग्रं तद्धर्मात्मा धर्मसंहितम् ।व्यक्तमन्वेषते भूयो यद्वृत्तं तस्य धीमत: ।।।।
śrutvā vastu samagraṃ tad dharmātmā dharmasaṃhitam |
vyaktam anveṣate bhūyo yad vṛttaṃ tasya dhīmataḥ ||1.3.1||
धर्म से गुंथा हुआ वह समग्र वृत्तांत उस बुद्धिमान से सुनकर धर्मात्मा वाल्मीकि ने राम के जीवन-चरित का वृत्त और भी अधिक स्पष्ट रूप से जानना चाहा।
