Commencement and Performance of Daśaratha’s Aśvamedha
त्र्यहोऽश्वमेधस्सङ्ख्यात: कल्पसूत्रेण ब्राह्मणै:। 37चतुष्टोममहस्तस्य प्रथमं परिकल्पितम्।।।।
tryaho ’śvamedhaḥ saṅkhyātaḥ kalpasūtreṇa brāhmaṇaiḥ |
catuṣṭomam ahas tasya prathamaṃ parikalpitam ||
कल्पसूत्र के अनुसार ब्राह्मणों ने अश्वमेध को तीन-दिवसीय यज्ञ माना है; और उसके प्रथम दिन को चतुष्टोम-अह के रूप में नियोजित किया गया है।
