अन्तकाले हि भूतानि मुह्यन्तीति पुरा श्रुतिः।राज्ञैवं कुर्वता लोके प्रत्यक्षं सा श्रुतिः कृता।।।।

antakāle hi bhūtāni muhyantīti purā śrutiḥ |

rājñā evaṃ kurvatā loke pratyakṣaṃ sā śrutiḥ kṛtā ||

पुरानी श्रुति है कि मृत्यु के समय प्राणी मोहग्रस्त हो जाते हैं; राजा ने ऐसा आचरण करके उस श्रुति को इस लोक में प्रत्यक्ष कर दिया है।
