ततः कद्रूमुवाचेदं विनता दुःखिता सती । अभीष्टं वद कल्याणि येन मुच्येय कृच्छ्रतः
tataḥ kadrūmuvācedaṃ vinatā duḥkhitā satī | abhīṣṭaṃ vada kalyāṇi yena mucyeya kṛcchrataḥ
तब कद्रू ने दुःख से व्याकुल विनता से कहा— “कल्याणी, जो तुम्हें अभिष्ट हो वह बताओ, जिससे मैं इस कठिन संकट से मुक्त हो जाऊँ।”
