वृद्धोवाच । शृणु पोष्ये महाराज पत्न्या दंडकरे यदा । श्रोतुं कौतूहलं तेऽस्ति मदागमनकारणम्

वृद्धा बोली— “सुनो, हे प्रिय महाराज। जब आपकी पत्नी दंडकारण्य में थीं, तब मेरे आगमन का कारण सुनने की आपको जिज्ञासा हुई थी।”
