Determination of Tithi for Fasts, Parana, and Pitri Rites
तस्माद्विप्रा न कर्त्व्या विद्धाप्येकादशी तिथिः । यथा हंतिपुरा पुण्यं श्राद्धं च वृषलीपतिः ॥ ४४ ॥
tasmādviprā na kartvyā viddhāpyekādaśī tithiḥ | yathā haṃtipurā puṇyaṃ śrāddhaṃ ca vṛṣalīpatiḥ || 44 ||
अतः हे विप्रो, ‘विद्धा’ (भेदी हुई) एकादशी तिथि का व्रत नहीं करना चाहिए; जैसे वृषलीपति नगर का पुण्य नष्ट करता है, वैसे ही वह श्राद्ध का फल भी बिगाड़ देता है।
