Determination of Tithi for Fasts, Parana, and Pitri Rites
न तत्रोदयिनी ग्राह्या दैवस्योदयिकी तिथिः । प्रत्यहं शोधयेत्प्राज्ञस्तिथिं दैवज्ञचिंतकात् ॥ १६ ॥
na tatrodayinī grāhyā daivasyodayikī tithiḥ | pratyahaṃ śodhayetprājñastithiṃ daivajñaciṃtakāt || 16 ||
उस विषय में ‘उदयिनी’ (जो सूर्योदय के बाद से मानी जाए) तिथि नहीं लेनी चाहिए; देवकर्म/व्रत के लिए ‘उदयिकी’ (सूर्योदय-आधारित) तिथि ही ग्राह्य है। इसलिए बुद्धिमान व्यक्ति प्रतिदिन दैवज्ञ से पूछकर तिथि की जाँच करे।
