Sanatkumara (in dialogue with Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It is a phalaśruti declaring that the Kārtavīrya-kavaca functions as spiritual protection: it increases puṇya (merit), neutralizes pāpa (sin), and removes upadravas (afflictions), emphasizing faith-filled recitation as a dharmic safeguard.
By praising the kavaca’s power, the verse points to bhakti expressed through śraddhā and regular recitation—devotional reliance on a sacred protective formula to seek inner purification and divine protection.
It highlights applied mantra-prayoga (ritual use of sacred formulas) and the kavaca genre as a protective recitational practice—aligned with correct chanting discipline (śikṣā) and meaningful usage within dharmic ritual contexts.
