Adhyaya 76 — The Sixth Manvantara: Cakshusha Manu, the Child-Snatcher, and the Problem of Kinship
bhavatā manunā bhāvyaṃ ṣaṣṭhena vraja tat kuru / alante tapasā tasmin kṛte muktim avāpsyasi
The text balances renunciation with responsibility: even a liberation-seeker may be directed to fulfill a world-sustaining role; completion of ordained duty can itself culminate in moksha.
Directly manvantara: it establishes the succession and identification of the sixth Manu, a core purāṇic chronological element.
The ‘office of Manu’ symbolizes governance of mind/order; liberation is not escapism but the fruit of harmonizing inner tapas with outer dharma.
