Adhyaya 34 — Madālāsā’s Instruction on Sadācāra (Householder Conduct, Purity, and Daily Rites)
उपरागे परं स्नानमृते दिनमुदाहृतम् ।
अपमृज्यान्न चास्नातो गात्राण्यंबरपाणिभिः ॥
uparāge paraṃ snānam ṛte dinam udāhṛtam | apamṛjyān na cāsnāto gātrāṇy ambarapāṇibhiḥ ||
ग्रहणकाल में स्नान परम पुण्य कहा गया है, परन्तु निषिद्ध दिन में (शास्त्रानुसार) उसका त्याग करे। स्नान के बाद शरीर पोंछे; जिसने स्नान नहीं किया वह वस्त्र और हाथों से अंगों को (शुद्ध मानकर) न पोंछे।
