अध्याय ८ — शल्यस्य सत्कारः, वरदानं, पाण्डवसमागमश्च (Śalya’s Reception, the Boon, and Meeting the Pāṇḍavas)
कूृपाश्न विविधाकारा मनोहर्षविवर्धना: । वाप्यश्न विविधाकारा औदकानि गृहाणि च
kūpāś ca vividhākārā manoharṣa-vivardhanāḥ | vāpyāś ca vividhākārā audakāni gṛhāṇi ca ||
अनेक प्रकार के कुएँ बनाए गए थे, जो मन का हर्ष बढ़ाने वाले थे। भाँति-भाँति की बावड़ियाँ/तालाब भी निर्मित थे, और ऐसे गृह भी बनाए गए थे जिनमें जल की विशेष सुविधा उपलब्ध थी।
