सर्वेषां कर्मणां तात फले नित्यमनित्यता । अनित्यमिति जानन्तो न भवन्ति भवन्ति च
sarveṣāṁ karmaṇāṁ tāta phale nityam anityatā | anityam iti jānanto na bhavanti bhavanti ca, tāta ||
तात! सभी कर्मों के फल में सदा अनित्यता रहती है—कभी फल मिलता है और कभी नहीं। इस अनित्यत्व को जानते हुए भी बुद्धिमान पुरुष कर्म करते हैं; वे कभी असफल होते हैं, तो कभी सफल भी।
पुत्र उवाच
All action-results are inherently uncertain and impermanent; knowing this, the wise still perform their duties without being paralyzed by the possibility of failure, accepting that outcomes alternate between success and non-success.
A son addresses his father and offers counsel about action and its fruits, emphasizing that one should continue to act responsibly even though results are not guaranteed.
