अपराण्यपि चत्वारि शतानि द्विजसत्तम | नीयमानानि संतारे हृतान्यासन्‌ वितस्तया

Transliteration

aparāṇy api catvāri śatāni dvijasattama | nīyamānāni saṃtāre hṛtāny āsan vitastayā ||

Translation

नारद ने कहा—हे द्विजश्रेष्ठ! मार्ग में एक स्थान पर नदी पार करनी पड़ी। उन छह सौ के अतिरिक्त चार सौ और घोड़े थे; पार उतारते समय वे चार सौ वितस्ता की प्रचण्ड धारा में बह गए।
