Daṇḍanīti and the King as the Cause of Yuga-Order (दण्डनीतिः राजधर्मश्च युगकारणत्वम्)
प्रगण्डी: कारयेत् सम्यगाकाशजननीस्तदा । आपूरयेच्च परिखां स्थाणुनक्रझषाकुलाम्
pragaṇḍīḥ kārayet samyag ākāśa-jananīs tadā | āpūrayec ca parikhāṃ sthāṇu-nakra-jhaṣākulām ||
तब वह प्रगण्डियाँ (रक्षा-मंच/परकोटे पर बैठने के स्थान) भली-भाँति बनवाए और दीवारों में आकाशजननी (देखने व अस्त्र-प्रक्षेप के लिए छोटे छिद्र) उचित स्थानों पर कराए। परकोटे के बाहर की खाई में जल भरवाए, उसमें त्रिशूलयुक्त खंभे गड़वाए और मगरमच्छ तथा बड़े-बड़े मत्स्य भी डलवाए।
