भवश्नानेन विप्रेण संहिताभिरभिष्टत: । स्वर्गद्वारे कृतोद्योगो येनासौ त्रिदिवं गत:
bhavaśnānena vipreṇa saṃhitābhir abhiṣṭutaḥ | svargadvāre kṛtodyogo yenāsau tridivaṃ gataḥ ||
सूर्य ने कहा—उस विद्वान् ब्राह्मण ने भव-स्नान (शैव-विधि) करके संहिताओं के मन्त्रों द्वारा भगवान् शंकर की स्तुति की। स्वर्गद्वार पर मानो तप और नियम से उसने साधना का उद्योग किया; इसी कारण वह त्रिदिव—स्वर्गलोक—को प्राप्त हुआ।
