जगत्स्रष्टमना देवो हरिनारायण: स्वयम् | चिन्तयामास पुरुष॑ जगत्सर्गकरं प्रभुम्
jagat-sraṣṭa-manā devo hari-nārāyaṇaḥ svayam | cintayāmāsa puruṣaṁ jagat-sarga-karaṁ prabhum, sākṣāt bhagavān nārāyaṇaḥ |
वैशम्पायन बोले—जगत् की सृष्टि करने की इच्छा से स्वयं देव हरि-नारायण ने उस परम पुरुष का चिन्तन किया, जो संसार-सृष्टि करने में सर्वथा समर्थ, साक्षात् प्रभु था।
