छादयामि जगदू विश्व भूत्वा सूर्य इवांशुभि: । सर्वभूताधिवास श्च वासुदेवस्ततो हाहम्
chādayāmi jagad viśvaṃ bhūtvā sūrya ivāṃśubhiḥ | sarvabhūtādhivāsaś ca vāsudevas tato hāham ||
मैं सूर्यरूप होकर अपनी किरणों से समस्त जगत् को व्याप्त और आच्छादित करता हूँ; और मैं ही समस्त प्राणियों का अधिवास—निवासस्थान—हूँ। इसलिए मेरा नाम ‘वासुदेव’ है।
