Śuka’s Manifestation from the Araṇi (Āraṇeya-janma) — शुकजन्म (आरणेय-सम्भव)
ततो ब्रह्माणमसृजद्धिरण्याण्डसमुद््भवम् । सा मूर्ति: सर्वभूतानामित्येवमनुशुश्रुम
tato brahmāṇam asṛjad hiraṇyāṇḍa-samudbhavam | sā mūrtiḥ sarva-bhūtānām ity evam anuśuśruma ||
तब परमात्मा ने सुवर्णमय ब्रह्माण्ड-अण्ड से प्रकट होने वाले ब्रह्मा को उत्पन्न किया। ऐसा हमने परम्परा से सुना है कि वही मूर्ति समस्त प्राणियों की उत्पत्ति और आधार-भूमि बनी—औषधियों की सृष्टि के पश्चात् सृष्टि-क्रम का यह विधान हुआ।
