Haṃsa–Sādhya Saṃvāda: Satya, Dama, Kṣamā and the Discipline of Speech
स्नेहजानिह ते पाशान् वक्ष्यामि शृणु तान् मम । सकर्णकेन शिरसा शक्या: श्रोतुं विजानता
snehajān iha te pāśān vakṣyāmi śṛṇu tān mama | sa-karṇakena śirasā śakyāḥ śrotuṁ vijānatā ||
भीष्म बोले—मैं तुम्हें स्नेह से उत्पन्न बंधनों का वर्णन करता हूँ; उन्हें मुझसे सुनो। जो समझदार है, वही सजग चित्त और सावधान श्रवण से ऐसी बातों को ठीक-ठीक सुन और जान सकता है।
