Ātma-saṃyama-dharma: One-pointedness of Mind and Senses (शुक–व्यास संवादः)
जघन्यशायी पूर्व स्यादुत्थाय गुरुवेश्मनि । यच्च शिष्येण कर्तव्यं कार्य दासेन वा पुन:
jaghanyaśāyī pūrvaṃ syād utthāya guruveśmani | yac ca śiṣyeṇa kartavyaṃ kāryaṃ dāsena vā punaḥ ||
गुरु के सो जाने के बाद सबसे नीचे स्थान पर शयन करे और गुरु के जागने से पहले ही उठ जाए। गुरु-गृह में शिष्य या दास के योग्य जो भी कार्य हो, उसे स्वयं ही पूरा करे।
