तं॑ बलिं नाधिगच्छामि ब्रद्याज्ञाचश्व मे बलिम्‌ । “वह राजा बलि ही वायु बनकर चलता

Transliteration

taṁ baliṁ nādhigacchāmi bradyājñā caśva me balim |

Translation

मैं उस राजा बलि को कहीं नहीं पा रहा हूँ। हे ब्रह्मन्! मुझे बलि का पता बताइए। जो वायु बनकर चलता था, वरुण बनकर वर्षा करता था, सूर्य और चन्द्रमा बनकर प्रकाश देता था, अग्नि बनकर समस्त प्राणियों को ताप देता था और जल बनकर सबकी प्यास बुझाता था—वही राजा बलि मुझे कहीं दिखाई नहीं देता।
