Vyaktāvyakta-Viveka and Nivṛtti as Paramā Gati

Manifest–Unmanifest Discrimination and the Supreme Path of Withdrawal

ete bhāvā jagat sarva vahanti sacarācaram | śritā virajasaṃ devaṃ yam āhuḥ prakṛteḥ param ||

Educational Q&A

All cosmic functions and the entire animate–inanimate world are upheld by deeper principles, yet ultimately depend upon a transcendent, rajas-free Divine reality that stands beyond material nature (Prakriti).

In Shanti Parva’s instruction, Bhishma continues his philosophical exposition to Yudhishthira, explaining the metaphysical basis of the universe and pointing to a supreme principle beyond Prakriti upon which all states of existence rely.
