सामुद्रिकान् स वणिजस्ततो<पश्यत् स्थितान् पथि । स तेन सह सार्थन प्रययौ सागरं प्रति,रास्तेमें उसने देखा कि समुद्रके आस-पास रहनेवाले कुछ व्यापारी वैश्य ठहरे हुए हैं। वह उन्हींके दलके साथ हो लिया और समुद्रकी ओर जाने लगा
sāmudrikān sa vaṇijas tato 'paśyat sthitān pathi | sa tena saha sārthena prayayau sāgaraṃ prati ||
भीष्म बोले—मार्ग में उसने समुद्र-तट से जुड़े कुछ वैश्य व्यापारी ठहरे हुए देखे। वह उनके सार्थ (कारवाँ) के साथ हो लिया और उनके साथ समुद्र की ओर चल पड़ा।
