अज्ञान–लोभयोः परस्परहेतुत्वम्

Mutual Causality of Ignorance and Greed

पापं कृत्वाभिमन्येत नाहमस्मीति पूरुष: । तच्चिकीर्षति कल्याणं श्रद्धधानोडनसूयक:

pāpaṁ kṛtvābhimanyeta nāham asmīti pūruṣaḥ | tac cikīrṣati kalyāṇaṁ śraddadhāno 'nasūyakaḥ ||

शौनक ने कहा—मनुष्य को पाप करके यह अहंकार नहीं करना चाहिए कि “मैं दोषी नहीं हूँ।” बल्कि श्रद्धापूर्वक, दूसरों में दोष देखने की वृत्ति और द्वेष छोड़कर, कल्याणकारी धर्म के आचरण का संकल्प करना चाहिए।
