न भुड्धक्ते मय्यभुक्ते या नास्नाते स्नाति सुव्रता । नातिष्ठत्युपतिछेत शेते च शयिते मयि
na bhuktānte mayy abhukte yā nāsnāte snāti suvratā | nātiṣṭhaty upatiṣṭhet śete ca śayite mayi ||
वह उत्तम व्रतों का पालन करनेवाली पतिव्रता थी; मैं खाए बिना वह नहीं खाती थी, मैं न नहाऊँ तो वह स्नान नहीं करती थी। मुझे बैठाए बिना वह बैठती नहीं थी, और मेरे सो जाने पर ही शयन करती थी।
