Śaraṇāgata-Atithi-Dharma in the Kapota Narrative
tato 'gnim upasaṁhṛtya brāhmeṇa vidhinā muniḥ | aindrāgneyeṇa vidhinā caruṁ śrapayat svayam ||
The verse highlights dharma as disciplined conformity to śāstra: sacred acts gain legitimacy and power when performed with correct Vedic procedure, proper intention, and personal responsibility rather than haste or mere display.
A sage, after properly arranging/concluding the fire-rite, prepares a caru offering by the prescribed method dedicated to Indra and Agni, indicating a formal yajña context within Bhīṣma’s discourse.
