संधातव्यं बुधैर्नित्यं व्यवस्य च हितार्थिभि: । अमिन्रैरपि संधेयं प्राणा रक्ष्या हि भारत

Transliteration

sandhātavyaṁ budhair nityaṁ vyavasya ca hitārthibhiḥ | amitrair api sandheyaṁ prāṇā rakṣyā hi bhārata ||

Translation

भारत! हित चाहने वाले विद्वानों को विचारपूर्वक निश्चय करके सदा संधि करनी चाहिए; और आवश्यकता पड़ने पर शत्रुओं से भी संधि कर लेनी चाहिए, क्योंकि प्राणों की रक्षा नित्य कर्तव्य है।
