Upāya-dharma and Senāyoga: Expedient Ethics & Army Deployment
पारम्पर्यागते द्वारे ये केचिदनुवर्तिन: । परिचर्यावतो द्वारे ये च केचन वर्गिण:
pāramparyāgate dvāre ye kecid anuvartinaḥ | paricaryāvato dvāre ye ca kecana vargiṇaḥ ||
भीष्म ने कहा—जो परम्परा से प्राप्त कर्तव्य के अनुसार राजद्वार पर रक्षा-सेवा में लगे हों, तथा जो मन्त्री आदि राजसेवकों के द्वार पर पहरा देते हों या किसी दल/यूथ के अधिपति हों—उन्हें भी नहीं मारना चाहिए।
