भীমेन युधिष्ठिरस्य त्यागवृत्तेः प्रतिषेधः

Bhīma’s Rebuttal of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Renunciatory Inclination

तस्मादिह कृतप्रज्ञास्त्यागं न परिचक्षते । धर्मव्यतिक्रमं चैव मन्यन्ते सूक्ष्मदर्शिन:

Transliteration

tasmādiha kṛtaprajñās tyāgaṃ na paricakṣate | dharmavyatikramaṃ caiva manyante sūkṣmadarśinaḥ ||

Translation

भीम बोले—इसलिए इस समय कृतप्रज्ञ पुरुष त्याग या संन्यास की प्रशंसा नहीं करते। सूक्ष्मदर्शी जन तो विशेषतः क्षत्रिय के लिये ऐसे अवसर पर संन्यास को धर्म-व्यतिक्रम ही मानते हैं।
