इत्युक्ता सापचत् तानि ब्राह्मणप्रियकाम्यया । अधिभश्रित्य समिद्धे5ग्नौी बदराणि यशस्विनी
ity uktā sā apacat tāni brāhmaṇa-priya-kāmyayā | adhibhṛśritya samiddhe 'gnau badarāṇi yaśasvinī ||
वैशम्पायन बोले— इस प्रकार कहे जाने पर यशस्विनी स्त्री ने ब्राह्मण को प्रिय करने की इच्छा से उन बेरों को भली-भाँति प्रज्वलित अग्नि पर रखकर पकाना आरम्भ किया।
