Arjuna’s evacuation of Dvārakā, Vasudeva’s rites, and the caravan’s crisis
विनष्टा: कुरुशार्टूल न तान् शोचितुम्हसि । भवितव्यं तथा तच्च दिष्टमेतन्महात्मनाम्,कुरुश्रेष्ठ! वृष्णि और अन्धकवंशके महारथी ब्राह्मणोंके शापसे दग्ध होकर नष्ट हुए हैं; अतः तुम उनके लिये शोक न करो। उन महामनस्वी वीरोंकी भवितव्यता ही ऐसी थी। उनका प्रारब्ध ही वैसा बन गया था
vināṣṭāḥ kuruśārṭūla na tān śocitum arhasi | bhavitavyaṃ tathā tac ca diṣṭam etan mahātmanām |
व्यासजी बोले—कुरुशार्दूल! वे नष्ट हो चुके हैं; तुम्हें उनके लिए शोक नहीं करना चाहिए। जो हुआ, वही होने योग्य था; उन महात्मा वीरों का भाग्य ही ऐसा ठहरा था। वृष्णि और अन्धकवंश के महारथी ब्राह्मणों के शाप से दग्ध होकर नष्ट हुए हैं; इसलिए उनके लिए विषाद में मत डूबो।
