तमुत्तमौजा जनमेजयश्न क्रुद्धी युधामन्युशिखण्डिनौ च । कर्ण बिभेदु: सहिता: पृषत्कै: संनर्दमाना: सह पार्षतेन
tam uttamaujā janamejayaś ca kruddhī yudhāmanyu-śikhaṇḍinau ca | karṇaṁ bibheduḥ sahitāḥ pṛṣatkaiḥ saṁnardamānāḥ saha pārṣatena ||
संजय बोले—तब धृष्टद्युम्न के साथ गर्जना करते हुए उत्तमौजा, जनमेजय, क्रुद्ध युधामन्यु और शिखण्डी—सबने एकत्र होकर बाणों की वर्षा से कर्ण को बेध डाला।
संजय उवाच
Even in a dharmic war, power must be met with disciplined coordination: the verse highlights how a dangerous adversary is checked through united effort, not mere individual display, implying an ethic of responsibility in the use of force.
Dhṛṣṭadyumna and allied Pāñcāla fighters—Uttamaujā, Janamejaya, Yudhāmanyu, and Śikhaṇḍin—raise battle-cries and, acting together, strike Karṇa with many arrows, wounding him amid the ongoing combat.
