कर्णस्य दानप्रतिज्ञा–शल्योपदेश–वाक्ययुद्धम्

तांस्तु तत्र प्रसक्तान् वै परिवार्य पदातय: । हस्त्यारोहान् निजघ्नुस्ते महावेगा बलोत्कटा:
tāṁs tu tatra prasaktān vai parivārya padātayaḥ | hastyārohān nijaghnus te mahāvegā balotkaṭāḥ ||
वहाँ आभूषणों में उलझे हुए उन हाथियों के पास पहुँचकर, महान वेग और उन्मत्त बल वाले पैदल योद्धाओं ने उन्हें चारों ओर से घेर लिया और हाथी-सवारों को मार गिराया।
