द्योतयन्ती दिशो राजन् महोल्केव नभश्च्युता । राजन! सम्पूर्ण दिशाओंको प्रकाशित करती हुई वह सुवर्णभूषित शक्ति कटकर आकाशशसे गिरी हुई बड़ी भारी उल्काके समान पृथ्वीपर गिर पड़ी
dyotayantī diśo rājan maholkeva nabhaścyutā |
संजय बोले—राजन्! सम्पूर्ण दिशाओं को प्रकाशित करती हुई, सुवर्ण-भूषणों से अलंकृत वह शक्ति कटकर आकाश से छूटी हुई महान उल्का के समान पृथ्वी पर आ गिरी।
