Educational Q&A

The verse reflects kṣatriya-dharma in its narrative form: in a righteous war, a warrior meets opposition directly, showing courage, resolve, and adherence to the battlefield code of confronting a worthy adversary.

Sañjaya reports that the warrior Cekitāna, amid the fighting, pursued Kṛpa and engaged him in battle, marking a specific duel-like encounter within the larger Kurukṣetra conflict.
