Garuḍa Array and the Ardhacandra Counter-Formation
धनु: कूजितविज्ञानं तत्रासीत् प्रतियुद्धयत: । गात्रस्पर्शेन योधानां व्यज्ञास्त परिपन्थिनम्
sañjaya uvāca | dhanuḥ-kūjita-vijñānaṃ tatrāsīt pratiyuddhayataḥ | gātra-sparśena yodhānāṃ vyajñāsta paripanthinam jighāṃsantaṃ yudhāṃ śreṣṭha tadā āsīt tumulaṃ mahat ||
संजय बोले—राजन्! उस युद्ध में लड़ने वालों की पहचान केवल धनुष की टंकार से होती थी; और योद्धा शरीर के स्पर्श से ही शत्रु को जान लेते थे। जब श्रेष्ठ योद्धा भीष्म को मारने की इच्छा से लोग उस पर टूट पड़े, तब उस समय युद्ध बड़ा तुमुल हो उठा।
