Book 14, Chapter 89
उपाजिघ्रद् यथाशास्त्र सर्वपापापहं तदा । भाइयोंसहित धर्मराज युधिष्ठिरने शास्त्रकी आज्ञाके अनुसार उस चर्बीके धूमकी गन्ध सूँघी
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
upājighrad yathāśāstraṃ sarvapāpāpahaṃ tadā |
dīyatāṃ bhujyatāṃ ceṣṭaṃ divārātram avāritam |
taṃ mahotsava-saṅkāśaṃ hṛṣṭa-puṣṭa-janākulam |
वैशम्पायन बोले— तब धर्मराज युधिष्ठिर ने भाइयों सहित शास्त्र-विधि के अनुसार उस धूम की गन्ध सूँघी, जो समस्त पापों का नाश करने वाली मानी जाती है। फिर कहा गया— “दान दिया जाए, इच्छित भोजन किया जाए; दिन-रात बिना रोक-टोक।” वह दृश्य महोत्सव के समान था, हर्षित और पुष्ट जनसमूह से भरा हुआ।
