Adhyāya 51: Kṛṣṇa’s Leave-Taking and Departure for Dvārakā (द्वारकागमनानुमति)
यददुरापं दुराम्नायं दुराधर्ष दुरन्वयम् | तत् सर्व तपसा साध्यं तपो हि दुरतिक्रमम्
yad adurāpaṁ durāmnāyaṁ durādharṣa duranvayam | tat sarvaṁ tapasā sādhyaṁ tapo hi duratikramam ||
जो अत्यन्त दुर्लभ है, जिसका अभ्यास कठिन है, जिसे वश में करना कठिन है और जिसकी संगति या अनुरूपता कठिन है—वह सब तपस्या से साध्य हो जाता है; क्योंकि तप का प्रभाव दुर्जेय है।
वायुदेव उवाच
Tapas—sustained, disciplined austerity—can accomplish even what seems impossible to obtain, learn, control, or maintain; its moral-spiritual force is portrayed as nearly irresistible.
