अध्याय ९ — धृतराष्ट्रस्य युधिष्ठिरं प्रति राजनित्युपदेशः
Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Counsel on Royal Policy to Yudhiṣṭhira
वैशम्पायन उवाच तच्छुत्वा कुरुराजस्य वाक्यानि करुणानि ते । रुरुदु: सर्वशो राजन् समेता: कुरुजाजला:
vaiśampāyana uvāca
tac chrutvā kururājasya vākyāni karuṇāni te |
ruruduḥ sarvaśo rājan sametāḥ kurujāṅgalāḥ ||
वैशम्पायन बोले—हे राजन् (जनमेजय)! कुरुराज के वे करुण वचन सुनकर वहाँ एकत्र हुए कुरुजाङ्गल के सब लोग सब ओर से फूट-फूटकर रो पड़े।
