आपददश्चापि बोद्धव्या बहुरूपा नराधिप | भवन्ति राज्ञा कौरव्य यास्ता: पृथगत: शूणु

Transliteration

āpadaś cāpi boddhavyā bahurūpā narādhipa | bhavanti rājñā kauravya yās tāḥ pṛthagataḥ śṛṇu mahārāja kurunandana ||

Translation

धृतराष्ट्र बोले—हे नराधिप! आपत्तियाँ भी जानने योग्य हैं, क्योंकि वे अनेक रूपों में आती हैं। हे कौरव्य! राजा पर जो-जो विपत्तियाँ आती हैं, उनका पृथक्-पृथक् वर्णन अब सुनो, हे कुरुनन्दन।
