Transliteration

saṁdhyārthaṁ rājaputraṁ vā lipsethā bharatarṣabha | viparītaṁ na tac cheyaḥ putra kasyāṁcid āpadi ||

Translation

हे भरतश्रेष्ठ, केवल संधि या विराम के लिए किसी राजकुमार को पाने की चेष्टा मत करना। किसी संकट में वह उपाय कल्याण के विपरीत पड़ता है; इसलिए, पुत्र, उसे नहीं अपनाना चाहिए।
