रुद्र-स्तवराजः (Rudra-Stavarāja) — Exempla of Śiva’s Boons and the Hymn’s Phalaśruti
कला: काष्ठा लवा मात्रा मुहूर्ताहःक्षपा: क्षणा: । विश्वेक्षेत्र प्रजाबीज॑ लिड्रमाद्यस्तु निर्गम:
vāyudeva uvāca | kalāḥ kāṣṭhā lavā mātrā muhūrtāhaḥkṣapāḥ kṣaṇāḥ | viśvakṣetraṁ prajābījaṁ liṅgam ādyas tu nirgamaḥ ||
वायुदेव ने कहा— कला, काष्ठा, लव, मात्रा, मुहूर्त, दिन-रात्रि और क्षण—ये सब काल के माप और विभाग हैं। वही ब्रह्माण्डरूपी वृक्ष का आधार-क्षेत्र है; वही समस्त प्रजाओं का बीज-कारण है; वही वह सूक्ष्म ‘लिङ्ग’ है जिससे अव्यक्त का अनुमान होता है; और वही सृष्टि में सबसे पहले प्रकट होने वाला है।
