महातपा घोरतपा अदीनो दीनसाधक: । संवत्सरकरो मन्त्र: प्रमाणं परमं तप:
mahātapā ghoratapā adīno dīnasādhakaḥ | saṃvatsarakaro mantraḥ pramāṇaṃ paramaṃ tapaḥ ||
वायु ने कहा— वह महान तपस्वी है, घोर तप करने वाला; उदार है, और शरण में आए दीन-दुखियों के मनोरथ सिद्ध करने वाला। वह संवत्सर का निर्माता है; वह प्रणव आदि मन्त्रस्वरूप है; वह प्रमाण—सत्य अधिकार—है, और तप का परम स्वरूप है।
