आकाशाददवरनिं प्राप्तस्ततः स पृथिवीपति: । एतदेव पुनश्नोक्त्वा विवेश धरणीतलम्
ākāśād adhaḥ varaṇiṁ prāptas tataḥ sa pṛthivīpatiḥ | etad eva punaś coktvā viveśa dharaṇītalam ||
तब वह पृथ्वीपति राजा वसु आकाश से नीचे गिरकर धरती पर आ पहुँचा। फिर वही अन्यायपूर्ण निर्णय दुहराकर वह धरती में धँसता हुआ पाताल में समा गया।
