ऋषिभि: संशयं पृष्टो वसुश्नेदिपति: पुरा । अभक्ष्यमपि मांसं य: प्राह भक्ष्यमिति प्रभो
ṛṣibhiḥ saṁśayaṁ pṛṣṭo vasuś cedi-patiḥ purā | abhakṣyam api māṁsaṁ yaḥ prāha bhakṣyam iti prabho ||
प्रभो! प्राचीन काल में ऋषियों ने चेदिराज वसु से संशय पूछकर निवारण चाहा; तब वसु ने मांस को—जो सर्वथा अभक्ष्य है—भक्ष्य कह दिया।
