पाण्डवानां पाञ्चालगमनम्

सा गौस्तत् सकल सैन्यं कालयामास दूरत: । विश्वामित्रस्य तत् सैन्यं काल्यमानं त्रियोजनम्
sā gaus tat sakala-sainyaṃ kālayāmāsa dūrataḥ | viśvāmitrasya tat sainyaṃ kālyamānaṃ triyojanam ||
उस गौ ने दूर से ही उस समस्त सेना को खदेड़कर नष्ट-सा कर दिया। इस प्रकार विश्वामित्र की वह सेना—तीन योजन तक फैली हुई—पराजय की ओर धकेली जा रही थी।
