एवं सन्दह्यमानानां सपत्‍न्या: पुत्रसम्पदा । राज्ञोऽसम्मतवृत्तीनां विद्वेषो बलवानभूत् ॥ ४२ ॥

Transliteration

evaṁ sandahyamānānāṁ sapatnyāḥ putra-sampadā rājño ’sammata-vṛttīnāṁ vidveṣo balavān abhūt

Translation

श्रीशुकदेव गोस्वामी बोले—पति से उपेक्षित और कृतद्युति की पुत्र-सम्पदा देखकर उन सौतों का दाहक ईर्ष्या-भाव अत्यन्त प्रबल हो उठा।
