तं दृष्ट्वा जलदश्यामं पीतकौशेयवाससम् । प्रलम्बबाहुं ताम्राक्षं सुस्मितं रुचिराननम् ॥ २७ ॥ स्वलङ्कृतमुखाम्भोजं नीलवक्रालकालिभि: । कृष्णं मत्वा स्त्रियो ह्रीता निलिल्युस्तत्र तत्र ह ॥ २८ ॥
taṁ dṛṣṭvā jalada-śyāmaṁ pīta-kauśeya-vāsasam pralamba-bāhuṁ tāmrākṣaṁ su-smitaṁ rucirānanam
मेघ-श्याम, पीत रेशमी वस्त्रधारी, लम्बी भुजाओं वाले, ताम्र-नेत्र और सुमधुर मुस्कान से युक्त मनोहर मुख वाले उसे देखकर, आभूषणों व घुँघराले नील केशों से सजे कमल-मुख के कारण स्त्रियाँ उसे श्रीकृष्ण समझ बैठीं; लज्जित होकर वे इधर-उधर छिप गईं।
